Vanessa has started her own grass roots nonprofit program called Oceanside Homeless Resource, which helps homeless neighbors in Oceanside with rehab, temporary housing, and meals. She works hard day in and day out for the less fortunate and that is why her friend, Sonny, has nominated Vanessa as a Hometown Hero.
