A Southern California native, R Dub! was just 15 when he started in radio and was already the full-time evening DJ on his city’s local radio station by the time he was a senior in high school. Today, you can find him on Magic 92.5, where he says he “feels right at home.”
R Dub!’s biggest guilty pleasure? “Slow Jams!” exclaims R Dub!, who has been hosting his own syndicated Sunday Nite Slow Jams radio show for nearly 20 years.
His other passions include lowriders and good Mexican food. “It’s gotta be authentic,” said R Dub!, who is serious when he says that he’d rather eat at a good taco truck over a five-star fancy restaurant anytime.
On what he enjoys most about working at Magic 92.5? “It’s a tie between the music and the listeners,” said R Dub! “Getting to play amazing music every afternoon, for people I consider my friends… meaning the listeners!
