Female

American Bulldog Mix

Color: Black and White

Almost 9 years old | 83 lbs

Adoption Fee: $75

Kona was transferred to Rancho Coastal Humane Society from another animal shelter in 2015 through the Friends of County Animal Shelters (FOCAS) program. She was at RCHS for two weeks before she was adopted by her new family.

Now, 5-1/2 years later, her family is moving. They said Kona can’t go along, so they returned her to Rancho Coastal Humane Society.

She’s a friendly dog who just wants to hang out. She doesn’t like being in a kennel. The sounds and smells and lights and shadows bother her.
To be completely honest, Kona needs to lose some weight. She’s not ready to go on long walks. If you’re looking for a walking buddy who you can start with and slowly work your way up, Kona might be your new best friend.

The $75 adoption fee for Kona includes medical exams, vaccinations, spay, registered microchip, and a one-year license if her new home is in the jurisdiction of San Diego Humane Society’s Department of Animal Services.  To schedule an Adoption by Appointment or to become a Virtual Foster for any of Rancho Coastal Humane Society’s pets log on to www.SDpets.org.
