Rico is credited with starting Magic 92.5 as an "Old Skool" station. In 1998, Rico realized there was a huge void on the radio dial... “A huge generation of people were being ignored by San Diego radio… the Top 40 and Hip hop stations targeted a bit younger and the other music stations on the dial, the soft rock stations… YIKES! Old and boring! Thus in November of 1998, Magic 92.5 was born and the Old Skool, R&B, Funk, Dance and Soul.. the party music we grew up on lived on”. Magic 92.5 had been one of the top rated radio station ever since.

Rico Currently is the midday (10a-2p) DJ on Magic 92.5. “On the air, one thing that always comes through is my love for the music and the listeners. I’m like the guy next door.. that regular neighborhood guy, except I have a zillion records in my garage. I love sharing the music and try to make it fun to listen at work”.

Latest on tragic loss of Travolta's son

Autopsy Today for John Travolta's Son

Autopsy Results May be Known Today, Funeral Likely to Feature Scientology Teachings

Three days after Jett Travolta's death, mystery continues to surround the case of John Travolta's 16-year-old son.

16-year-old Jett Travolta dies in an accident during Bahamas vacation.

Officials in the Bahamas say they have called in two forensic pathologists, including an American physician, to perform an autopsy today. Mark Smith, the Travolta family doctor, has also received permission from the Bahamian government to attend the procedure, according to The Associated Press.

A possible cause of death may be known by the end of the day, the Bahamas health minister told The Associated Press.

Bahamian Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham sent condolences to the Travolta family and said the autopsy is a formality the country requires in cases of sudden death to rule out foul play.

"We look forward to them being able to have the autopsy today and for the coroner to be able to make a decision so the body can be released," Ingraham told reporters.

On Sunday, John Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, issued their first public statement since Jett died Friday. He apparently hit his head on the bathtub during a seizure at their vacation home in the Bahamas.

"Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered," said the statement posted on John Travolta's Web site. "We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives."

Scientology Funeral, Family Auditing Likely

After the autopsy, it's likely the parents, who are Scientologists, will have a church-inspired funeral for Jett, church observers say.

Scientology officials did not immediately respond to a request from ABC News to comment.

Welcome Home Troops!!

So happy you guys are back home... at least for a while!! Much love to you and your families from Magic 92.5! SAN DIEGO — The aircraft carrier Ronald Reagan and four ships in its strike group, along with about 5,500 sailors, are returning to San Diego this week following a six-month deployment. Arriving this morning along with the Reagan were the guided-missile cruiser Chancellorsville, guided-missile frigate Thach and guided-missile destroyers Decatur and Gridley. The destroyer Howard is scheduled to return Friday. The aircraft carrier's arrival was met with cheers at Naval Air Station North Island on Coronado by family members who were grateful the ship was arriving just in time for Thanksgiving. While on deployment, the strike group provided humanitarian aid after Typhoon Fengshen struck the Philippines. It also took part in training exercise involving the navies of India, Brunei, Singapore and the Philippines. Additionally, aircraft attached to the strike group -- both jet fighters and turboprop Hawkeyes, which act like an eye in the sky -- supported combat operations in Afghanistan during the deployment. The Ronald Reagan, the Navy's newest Nimitz-class carrier, arrived at its home port in Coronado in 2004. The strike group left the San Diego area in May.
