What to Bring to SD Taco Fest: The Essentials

SD Taco Fest for a first timer can be intimidating! I mean, tons of tacos, all those people, music and entertainment everywhere…it’s like Disneyland for taco lovers and can be a lot to take in all at once.

Here’s a few items that I recommend you take to make your experience at SD Taco Fest that much more taco-tastic!

SD Taco Fest

External battery for your phone
Don’t be silly: Taco Fest is from 11AM til 10PM and your phone battery will not last…at least, not if you’re like me: and Snapchatting and Instagramming everything! I mean, you weren’t really at Taco Fest if you didn’t capture it on your social media accounts, right? A backup battery for your phone will be a life safer!

SD Taco Fest

Gum
Duh. Onion breath! Bring a couple extra packs to share pieces with your friends and you’ll be super-popular.

SD Taco Fest

Toothpicks
My mom says it’s rude to pick your teeth in public, but I’d rather be rude than have cilantro in my teeth! Stuff a few toothpicks in your pocket for later, you’ll thank me!

SD Taco Fest

A Designated Driver
There’s gonna be plenty of beer and tequila, so if you’re consuming, make sure you have a designated driver, or use a ride share app like Uber or Lyft. Don’t be a tonto.

SD Taco Fest

Cash
Bring small bills for quick service at the various taco stands!

SD Taco Fest

Loose Fitting Clothing
Wear it. Your belly is going to expand. Loose clothing will prevent you from feeling like a stuffed sausage!

SD Taco Fest

Your ID!
This event is 21+! And your library card, Costco card or Blockbuster card will NOT be accepted as a valid form of ID! Please bring your government ID!

SD Taco Fest

Sun Block
The weather is going to be…AWESOME!!! 80 degrees and LOTS of sunshine! Protect your beautiful skin from those UV rays!
