Support Suicide Prevention’s “Out Of Darkness” Walk October 28th

On average, there are 121 suicides every day in the United States. Suicide is the second leading cause of death for young people ages 14-25, according to the Centers for Disease Control. Marcel Roston lived that nightmare, three years ago, when his 17-year old daughter, Chloe Marie, took her life following domestic abuse and a struggle with mental illness.

Roston is a dedicated volunteer and supporter of the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention and will walk with Team Chloe in the upcoming national October “Out of the Darkness” Walk scheduled for October 28th at Liberty Station NTC Park.  Roston wants to challenge everyone to donate $1 to Team Chloe saying, “ although it can’t change my situation it could definitely save someone else.”.

Roston put together the 1st Annual Charity Golf Tournament for Chloe on Saturday October 21st at the Mt. Woodson Golf Club in Ramona, benefiting the American Foundation of Suicide Prevention.  The event has already sold out!  If you would like information for next year email teamchloeroston@gmail.com.
