It looks like the city of Chula Vista might be welcoming Amazon with open arms!
How about a $400-million incentive package to attract Amazon’s next headquarters?! That’s a huge incentive but what about the infrastructure of Chula Vista? Can it handle that increase in population and traffic?
Here is what they have posted on the city website.
The City of Chula Vista is the prime location for Amazon. The Chula Vista City Council will consider on Tuesday, October 17, a $400-million incentive package to attract Amazon’s next headquarters that includes a shovel-ready office location and the opportunity to co-create California’s next university. The Chula Vista site provides eight million square feet for the tech giant in a new headquarters located minutes from downtown San Diego, Lindbergh Field and the U.S.-Mexico border.
The proposal will be voted on at tomorrow’s council meeting.
